DRAGON BOAT RACE for DUAN WU JIE
The Dragon Boat Festival takes place on June 16 this year, and most employees will have the weekend plus Monday through Wednesday (June 14 to 16) off. Best of all, for once, we know the answer to the most frequently-asked Dragon Boat question of them all: Where are the boat races?
This year, they're in Jintang, and you're invited to take part in a two-boat race as part of an all-expenses-paid overnight trip. Will you get on the [Go]CHENGDOO boat? Or will you try to beat our team of buffed-out-biceps bicycle couriers?
Who's eligible: Foreign nationals at least 18 years of age who can swim
When: Bus departs on the afternoon of June 12 from Chengdu and arrives about an hour later. Lunch, dinner and lodgings will be provided. The first day will be spent learning the course and how to row the boat; the match will take place on the morning of June 13; the bus returns to Chengdu late Sunday afternoon after the awards ceremony and lunch.
Where: Jintang County (60 km east of Chengdu)
