Bus accident leaves 13 dead, 9 injured
Thirteen are dead and nine injured after a bus in Dazhou's Xuanhan County toppled off a mountainside road Friday, Xinhua reports.
The incident occured at 3:50 p.m. Friday. The bus, operated by Xuanhan County Bus and Transport Company, was heading from the Xuanhan Bus Station to Fankuai Town. After hitting the guardrail the bus slid 8.5 meters down a steep embankment, killing 11 of the 22 passengers immediately.
One of the nine injured passengers is still in critical condition.
