It cannot be denied—the Chengdunese love their hotpot. And just in case going down the stairs and to the nearest corner is too much effort to get your next hotpot fix, a Chengdu restaurant has launched a new hotpot-delivery service.
The delivery includes not only the foodstuff for hotpot, but also an induction cooker, disposable tableclothes, pots, and bowls. "Apart from tables and chairs, we have everything ready for diners to eat hotpot at home," said a delivery person.
The restaurant, Chuanxi Bazi Hotpot (川西坝子火锅店), located near the Chadianzi Station, says it will deliver anywhere within the Third Ring Road. Deliveries are available only on orders of RMB100 or more, and a delivery charge of RMB9 is added to the bill.
Currently, the restaurant receives around two delivery orders per day.
The service, which started in late September, is reportedly the first of its kind in Chengdu.
