The Chengdu Metro announced that train operating hours will be extended starting on December 20, and running times will be adjusted as well.
The trains will begin running about 30 minutes earlier than they currently do and stop running 30 minutes later than their current running time.
The first cars will depart from Shengxian Lake at 6:30 a.m. and Century City at 7 a.m. The last cars of the night will depart at 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. respectively.
Additionally, the trains will run at shortened intervals. During peak hours—between 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. each day—trains will run every 6 minutes and 50 seconds and every 8 minutes and 20 seconds at other times.
Peak-hour operation intervals will be in effect between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
Trains will stop for 60 seconds at the Tianfu Square station and at the North Railway Station stop and for 40 seconds at all other stations.
