A highly lauded veteran reporter, Keane has spent most of his life portraying war-torn parts of the world, garnering critical acclaim along the way for his ability to tell people's stories. Keane has published nine books on his experiences and the stories he learned while working in Rwanda, Northern Ireland, and elsewhere. Keane reported from Hong Kong prior to its return to China and has a young daughter adopted from a Chinese orphanage.
