French electronic band Success finally brought the crowd to a boil late in the evening.
Day 1 of Zebra Music Festival saw fans of all ages seeking shelter from the oppressive heat and humidity.
Despite a few glitches, such as last-minute schedule changes and a two-hour power cut after the second band, Bigger Bang, finished its set, the crowd was bobbing along happily by the end of the evening.
Setup is similar to the festival in previous years, apart from the elimination of the third stage, and Budweiser replacing Carlsberg as beer sponsor.
What to know
-No glass bottles allowed in the venue
-Good to bring: good walking shoes that aren't likely to soak through, a foam mat, tarp, or waterproof blanket to sit on (muddy grass), tissues or toilet paper and possibly wet wipes (plenty of toilets, but running water is harder to come by).
-Food is available on site, although prices are marked up and portions are downsized. Better to bring your own if possible.
