Calm waves and sunshine abound at this resort-filled island.
Unlike the more budget-friendly and nearby Perhentian Islands, Redang offers a much more relaxed environment, making it an ideal spot for hanging up the backpack for a few days.
Most visitors book two- or three-day packages with one of the resorts; prices start at around 300 RM for room, board, and a daily snorkeling trip.
Alternatively, it is possible to catch the ferry (100 RM round-trip) to the island and find a room for as little as 100 RM for a 3-bed, air-conditioned room—but the cost of food and tours will add up.
If you still have a bit of the party-animal in you, beer can be had at the resort for approximately 9 RM per can.
