Obamarama has left the building, but the first lady of the United States did give Chengdu a new claim to fame when she told students at the prestigious No. 7 Middle School that it would probably be her pick of all Chinese cities to live in.
During her six-day China tour, in addition to visiting the school, Michelle Obama attempted tai chi (in heels no less), lunched with Tibetans, and, of course, visited the pandas and splurged on hotpot, reportedly at this restaurant.
The presidential visitors spanned three generations — Obama's mother and two daughters joined her on the trip, which was their first time in China, Obama said during her question-and-answer session with the students.
