  Swath Iyengar 简介
  SifuSwathi Kr Iyengar, hails from South India and his ancestors come from a very orthodox Iyengar community from a village called PV Kalathur. His great great Grandfathers are vedic pundits, who practised and taught various vedic hymns, and yoga to the locals what the present day would refer as Holistic way. That was the one and only way to teach yoga those days, Holistic and Spiritual way, learning the Mantrams of the Vedic Hymns, reciting before and after the practice with Heart and Mind and Good Amount of Time every day was dedicated to this noble practice.
  师父Swathi Kr Iyengar, 来自印度南部,祖上来自一个被叫做PV Kalathur的村庄中非常正统的艾杨格社区。他的曾曾祖父是吠陀学者,习练并教授当地人各式吠陀赞美诗及瑜伽,其生活正是如今人们引以为神圣的方式。学习吠陀赞美诗中的真言,并在练习开始前和结束后全身心地诵念,每日将大量的时间用于这一高尚的练习,正是过去教授瑜伽唯一的方式,是神圣而充满灵性的。
  SwathiIyengar learnt Yoga from his family in the beginning and later under the tutelage of Swami Sachidananda Yogi ( Mouna Guru.. The one who renunciated, speech so the great Guru taught in Silence.Later from Govindananda of Sivananda Yoga and Guru's from Bihar Yoga School.
  For SwathiIyengar Yoga is a way of life, Yoga was spoken as Theory and Practice. Yoga was the way, how you live, how you eat, how you chew your food, how you chant, how you pray etc etc.
  Swathi Iyengar 一开始跟随他的家人,随后在瑜伽士斯瓦米Sachidananda(作为一个弃绝言词的古鲁,斯瓦米Sachidananda在沉默中教学。)的照管下学习瑜伽。后又跟随希瓦南达瑜伽的古鲁Govindananda以及比哈尔瑜伽学校的古鲁学习。

  The home in which SwathiIyengar great great grandfather was teaching this noble teaching still stands, after 158 years and recently restored and very soon will be a place for learning, chanting, what we in India call Satsang.
  Swathi Iyengar的曾曾祖父曾经教授这一高尚形式瑜伽的地方今天仍然保存着,经历158年之后,它在近期被修葺,并将很快重新成为一处学习、唱诵的地点,也就是我们印度人称为Satsang的地点。
  Since early 1990's SwathiIyengar has been teaching Yoga and later Yoga and Tai chi in between his routine work as food expert, chef, and farmer. SwathiIyengar never intended to make Yoga as a commercial tool to make money, rather he shared whatever he could with the available time and accepted the contributions given by the participants. So, it was more giving than receiving.

  Hello,
  Found a notebook left in the bookworm last Saturday after the open mic night. Rather than hand it to the bar I thought it would be a better idea to take it and put an announcement on here, in case it just got thrown out.Only just getting round to it now unfortunately! It is a brown notebook with Chinese writing and I think a picture of Mao on the front, but I believe it is owned by an expat due to writing inside.   Thank you first of all for your patience. If you are still interested to be a part of the Therapeutic horseback riding,we would like to invite you to a pre meeting at my place in Tongzilin on wedensday 27th march starting from 6 to 8 pm.
  This meeting will consider the following topics.
  - What is Therapeutic horseback riding
  - How to become a volunteers
  - What we expect from the volunteers
  One important note;
  This program is going take place during weekdays, so we expect from all volunteers to available at least one day a week.
  Which means volunteers need to have time in between Monday and Friday.

  Custom Suits and Shirts in Chengdu - They're back!
  After the success of the last event Carol & Lucs Tailors from Beijing will be back in Chengdu for the second time! They have a great reputation in Beijing and now a growing reputation amongst the expat community in Chengdu!
  I got a suit and a couple of shirts last time she was here, which I am really happy with, and in total around 15 people bought suits, shirts and coats on the day. The feedback was great and many customers commented on Carol's professionalism and expertise.
  On March 17th we'll be at the Oakwood again where Carol and her assistant will have a wide range of fabrics and sample/design books for you to choose from. You can discuss your individual requirements and make your selections, with suits starting from 1200 yuan and shirts from 150 yuan.After the last event it took about 9 days for all the finished clothing to be delivered to Chengdu, I then delivered everyones orders individually.So you can expect fast turn-around and good quality!
  Carol does a really great job of taking super-detailed measurements, so the finished clothing should fit perfectly, but if not I'll help you send it back to her to be adjusted for free.

  Who: All local homeschoolers
  What: Extra-curricular classes
  When: Thursday afternoons from 2:30 - 4:30, beginning on Thursday, 7 March, lasting 12 weeks
  Where: Zizhu Yuan Community Center at 96 Zijing Dong Lu, Zizhu Yuan, Gaoxing Qu In Chinese: 高新区紫荆东路96号紫竹苑 in Tongzilin.
  * Tuition payments for all classes are due in full on the first day of class. Tae Kwon Do uniform payments should also be brought the first day.
  All our classes will run between 2:30 - 4:30 pm on Thursdays, starting on 7 March for 12 weeks. Each class is 30-minutes in duration. Classes run concurrently in several different rooms/studios in the middle building.
  BALLET
  Cost: 345 RMB per student (paid in full first day of class)
  Classes: Classes are for children ages 5 and up.
  TAE KWON DO
  Cost: 500 RMB per student, 100-150 RMB for uniform (paid in full first day of class)
  Classes: Classes are for children ages 4 and up. There are two sessions, 4-6 y/o from 2:30 - 3:00 and 7-11 y/o from 3:05 - 3:35 pm.
