- Foreign Female Model Needed this Week!
  
  I am in need of a young foreign woman to assist me in an upcoming photo shoot.
  I am working as a clothing model for a company that sells clothing (primarily jackets) wholesale to clothing shops. The photos we take are used in a sales catalogue that is used to display the company's merchandise to potential buyers. They will not be used on billboards or in ads. The company is puting out a new line of clothing and is preparing to put out a new catalogue.
  I will be modeling for this new line, and I need a young woman to alternate with me during the photo shoot: one person models while the other changes into a new outfit, and then we switch.
  The photo shoot is scheduled to take place between May 22-24, and will probably take 1-2 days. The pay is good, the max time is 8 hours a day (but with a long break in the middle for lunch and lots of rest while the makeup artists change your 'style' for each new outfit...you will actually spend more time getting 'dolled up' by the makeup artist than actually modeling!), and you will be able to take copies of your photos home with you.

- MANDARIN TEACHER for job in United States
  
  I am working with an organization that places international teachers
  in several public school in the United States. Normally, they have a need for 15-20 Mandarin teachers but most of these position have been filled. However, they still have an urgent need for 3-4 Mandarin teachers.
  If you have the right qualifications this could be good opportunity.
  Some benefits are:
  – $30,000-$50,000 yearly salary depending on experience
  – J-1 visa for 3 years. If you are good, you can get a 2 year extension
  (total 5 years)
  – If you are married and have a child, they can get a J-2 visa.
  Your child can attend United States schools for free.
  Your spouse can probably obtain a work permit.
  – They will pay the airfare to the United States.

  These are the requirements. Please read them carefully. The reason these vacancies
  still exist is because the requirements are stringent:
  1) Acceptable University Majors:
  a) Bachelor of Education in LANGUAGE RELATED FIELD
  for example, English Teaching, Chinese Teaching
  b) if other BA degree need to have TEACHER TRAINING
  EXPERIENCE WITH A TEACHING LICENSE
  All this needs to be verified with notarized transcripts.
  2) 3 years experience teaching children in a school classroom setting
  3) Driver's License with more than one year driving experience
  4) Teaching experience specifically with 5 to 10 years children.
  5) Experience teaching 5-10 year old children many different subjects
  (for example, Math) using English.
  This experience needs to be verify by having School principal or
  other upper school administrator state in a NOTARIZED letter that
  the teacher has this experience.
  This experience needs to be for over 1 year.
  6) Fluent in English.
  This means FLUENT. Many Chinese use this word loosely
  to describe their English ability but their skill is just very basic to OK.
  Generally, it means your oral and listening compression abilities are
  nearly as good as a native speaker. The teacher needs to be able to
  explain to American principals how they would handle different
  classroom situations, how they handle teaching problems and also
  explain some of their methods for teaching Putonghua.
  There will be a total of 4 interviews. If the interviewers are
  not impressed with your English, you will not be hired,
  no matter how good you are as a Mandarin teacher.
  The teachers are needed for 2-way immersions programs.
  This means half the time you will be teaching in Putonghua and the
  other half in English. Hence, your English needs to be really good.
  You will be teaching ALL subjects taught to 5 to 10 year old.
  7) High Putonghua level. Some children have Chinese American parents
  that will complain if the Putonghua is not really standard.
  The ideal candidate for these positions are teachers with experience
  teaching in INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS.
