  My 8 year old son is in Chengdu and will start grade 2 at International school in Shuangliu in August2013. He does not speak any Chinese yet. He is looked after by his aunt and uncle who does not speak English. His parents are working abroad.
  I am looking for someone who first of all is patient, (experience with children preferred) and LOVES children... that can speak basic english and mandarin, and can communicate with an eight year old, who can help to supervise his homework every week day, and also accompany him when needed. So we are not necessarily looking for a tutor, more of a nanny role with some homework supervision.

  Hi there,
  I am planning to move to Germany at some point in the next year or so, and I would like to get a start on learning the language. I have learned some very basic phrases and vocabulary with Pimsleur and some resources I've found online, and I have an elementary level textbook for American students of the language that we could use during classes. I haven't really attempted conquering any grammatical points yet, and my pronunciation is terrible.
  I would like to find a tutor to meet with once or twice a week in the south of the city (south Second or First Ring Road area). I prefer somebody reliable with teaching experience; I think this is more important than native-speaking skills.   Hi there, I would like to start actively studying Mandarin again. I have been living in China for almost nine years, studied Chinese formally for about a year and am proficient with reading, writing, listening and speaking, but I want to get to a higher level. I just don't know how to do that on my own, and I feel I haven't made much progress in years. For instance, I often have trouble understanding TV news segments. I also feel like my phrasing is awkward sometimes when I'm speaking. I find reading is a lot easier to make progress with on my own.
  I prefer small group classes (2 to 4 students) than one-to-one, but I know it's difficult to coordinate that. So I'm looking for either:
  -A class that already has some students that I could join
  OR
  -Students around the same level with similar goals to form a class with AND
  a teacher with some experience teaching higher level students
  So if you are any of those people, please feel free to reply to my ad. If you are a student, please let me know your schedule. If you are a teacher, please let me know your schedule and fees. Ability to speak English is not necessary.
  I would like to meet once or twice per week, and my schedule is pretty flexible Fridays through Tuesdays.
