    • Does anybody know where I can find some Sichuanhua classes? Or recommend a good tutor?

    • Contact rachelqueen AT live DOT cn. She offers Sichuanhua tudoring, but I haven't tried yet.
You can also put up a classifieds on the site and we can include it in the classified section of Chengdoo Citylife magazine as well.

You find some Sichuanhua language charts in some issues like issue 21 "question" page 37 and Issue 20 had a double spread introduction on Sichuanes page p. 36/37. They are available for pdf download www.chengdoo-magazine.com.

Also Sichuan University has a class one hour a week. The lessons and teacher are funny and you get some materials that are otherwise hard to find. But don't take everything for granted, as the distinction between Sichuanhua and Chengduhua is blurry and the teacher doesn't seem to pay that much attention on the variation of local dialects within Sichuan. It's not scientific as you would expect it from an university teacher, but still useful nontheless.

I strongly recomend learning Sichuanhua as it makes your everyday life easier, you get better bargains faster and you get closer to their hearts:)

If anyone has more scientific material source on Sichuanhua please reply.

    • As a student of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (http://international.swufe.edu.cn/), I know that in the past, Sichuan Hua (四川话) have been offered to students at a nominal fee. I can tell you, first hand, that 9 out of 10 of their teachers are locals, and that they are well equipped to teach sichuan dialect. All the information, concerning the teachers to their address and telephone number, are on the website I have listed above.

Thanks, and keep me updated on your search gelbermj@gmail.com
