    • Judo should be easy to find all over the city, but I've never heard of training spots for the Muay Thai/ Thai boxing,or BJJ. I once saw 2 foreigners showing off some Capoeira in front of Panam(e).

    • I asked my gf who is Chinese to help me look, but she's been unable to find any information. Do you have any contact numbers or know the location of any judo academies?

For Judo all it takes really is putting 成都 柔道馆 into baidu.

So the Sports uni has a gym, or try 西体馆, but there are many more places, so you should ask your gf again to fish out one place for you, since my Chinese is worse and I'm not even your gf:)

    • Hi guys. I am interested in meeting some people in the Chengdu area who are interested in MMA and BJJ. I have been practicing muay thai for 1 1/2 years and have done a little bit of BJJ. I currently live in Mianyang, but could travel to Chengdu on the weekends if I meet the right group of people. I would like to know what kind of formal training do the people at your club, Falc7, and studio, LifeStream, have? Does anyone have a belt? and if so, how long have they been training and who have they trained under?

    • I have trained BJJ for about two or three years, on and off (My uni didn't have a club, so i could only train in the holidays) I trained under Darren Yeoman, who trained under Italo Ferreira, who trained under Marcus Aurelio.

This is where I trained in the UK, if you want to find out about my BJJ past you can contact Darren at that place, or you are welcome to just turn up at the club. Classe schedule will continue as normal starting from the 3rd of October (no class on the 26th of September as i have a business trip to Shenzhen)

    • Sounds good. I'll be in Chengdu on the 3rd for October holiday, so I'll stop in and check things out. I'll send you a message for the address in a few days. Thanks for the quick reply.

    • Hi there:- we are looking at possibly relocating to Chengdu from Australia and my husband is a thai boxing trainer. He would be very interested in opening a gym somewhere in Chengdu but we have NO idea about locations or any local interest. Do you think it would be popular enough?
