  • Hey ho,
    I am looking for a dance group I can join here. I have been doing Jazz Dance for quite a while now and tried Hiphop. I am open for any kind of modern dance.

    Looking forward to meet you guys who love dancing as much as I do!

    I just posted a new thread on the forum asking for the same thing! I love dance, but have never been professionally trained, just hobbies and am hoping that theres a crew somewhere in Chengdu? I don't actually live in the city yet, but will be there next year, and very keen to dance! If you're still there next year and somethings sprung up, please let me know! (I did a bit of Capoeira and am attempting fire dancing/hooping) so hopefully there are some performers around Chengdu

  • Hey Arshat, I'm at SWUFE too! I'm the (only) Latina in the more expensive dorms, on the first floor. I love going out to dance, if you're interested maybe we can go out together with my rowdy gang of Chinese friends and classmates :)

  • i've been studying hiphop at Crazy Dance Studio just north of Tianfu square for about a year now. It's 50 kuai a week, for an hour and a half lesson. or we could just meet up a group of us, and do some hip hop dancing, like outside somewhere, with a ghetto blaster....heh heh...

  • I'm learning Jazz now and I really love it. I take jazz class in a jazz studio near moziqiao in south chengdu(near Sichuan University), it's less than 30 yuan for one and half an hour class. It sounds fun to meet up as a group and do some dance together, I'm definitely in!

I am here in china to work as a singer in a band but unfortunately im not happy singing in a hotel because for me it feels like really boring. Because i've always love dancing...
