    • Hi everyone, I was planning to make a trip through Kangding - Moxi - Tagong - Bamei - Danba at the end of May, but just read somewhere, that foreigners are not allowed to go there, most far they can go now is Kanding. Is this true? Does anyone have any updated information? Thank You very much!!!

    • Kangding, Moxi and Tagong and further West are all open. Bamei and Danba — maybe open, maybe not. Further North isn't.

    • Last I heard, no, but that doesn't mean it isn't now or won't be by August. Dege's a great place to visit though. Ask me again nearer the time and I'll see what I can find out.

    • Okay, thanks very much for the post! We want to go there on Tuesday - do You have any information whether Danba and Dege are opened or not? Or any other tips where to go instead of them? Not very tourist places would be appreciated ;)

    • Latest seems to be that pretty much everywhere is open, including Danba and Dege. Let us all know how you get on.

    • Got back home on Friday, didn´t go anywhere except for Kangding, but noone stopped us on the way, so I guess everything is opened.

Btw. comparing to last year Kangding is getting really touristy and dirty...was a bit disappointed...

Wish You good luck for those who are planning to travel :)

    • @olizik — since when was Kangding not touristy?! Also not convinced that Kangding being open means that everything is open. Hope you had a good trip anyway.
