I've tried some already, but I'm still looking for a good Korean restaurant. It would be nice if any Koreans out there who can help me out.
Hey, I'm Korean, but I can't really help you out. I haven't found a place with good korean food either. I've tried a couple and they've all been pretty disappointing. I've heard about this place called Myeongdong (http://www.chengduplaces.com/listing/myeongdong-korean-restaurant/) but I haven't been there yet. If you end up finding any good places, post it please.
I found a really good place at the cross TaiShengBeiLu & XinHuaDaDao, near the cellphone market. You can try this Baidu Link: http://j.map.baidu.com/d5k_K
Its really not the cheapest place, maybe the most expensiv korean place I have ever been in China. For example: Ugeoji-Galbi-Tang = 55 RMB. But its worth to go there, and I think, its really original korean taste (a little bit oldschool, like jeonlado-style in the 80s? - not the modern korean style ^^). But I found it delicous and it remembers me on my grandma ^^ ....
You can take the BanChan (XiaoCai) yourself without limi. They will offer you one or two different kind of soups for free too. The korean pumpkin soup is amazing!
Have fun! :-) I will happy to read your review ...
My favorite place is Xitang BBQ which offers great Koran BBQ (Bulgogi), fresh Kimchi and plum wines (and also Japanese spirits)
it's off Exit A of Line 4 wubway station Wannianchang in the East and then go up to the 2nd floor in the pedestrian mall. But they also have an older, smaller shop in Yulin called Ming Tang
Other than that I liked the Korean restaurant opposite Underground Bar at Jiuyanqiao which is run by an actual Korean.
I could imagine there should be at least one decent Korean place inside the Great World Shopping Mall, that run down concrete blob next to the Tongzilin Carrefour as at least some are run by native Koreans.
I know a place which locates in Tianfu Software Park, however it is just a cafe held by a Korean. But I just watched a music show last Saturday, it was wonderful, and all the people including the music players are Koreans except few Chinese. If you would like to go there, leave me a message.
