    Hello everyone!

I have recently been enrolled in the Chinese training program at SWUFE. I am basically ready to go in a month. One thing that worries me a bit is that the program can be too hard as i am on an elementary level in chinese and basically just know some common greetings and general words (maybe ordering some foods too).

Can someone tell me if the program is beginner friendly? I don't want to go there and realize i've made a mistake.

    Awesome forum!
    Thanks

Don't worry, it's a good course and well structured. Just make sure you do your homework and you shouldn't have any problems.

    Hi!
Last semester I followed the Chinese language program at SWUFE. I was also very nervous since my Chinese was pretty bad..

But there's no reason to be afraid since the school will give you a test (written and oral) where they will check your level, so that you will be placed in a class with students who are on the same level as you!
One recommendation is that it is better if you are placed in a slightly more advanced class than your level, than that you are placed in a class that is more easy. I experienced this myself last semester, and in the beginning it was really hard to catch up, but in the end I learned so much more!
Good luck with the rest of your studies, and I hope you will enjoy your time in Chengdu :)
