I'll be coming to Chengdu at the end of September. I've already made accommodations and I'm looking for a mandarin class that I can take part time that supplies a student visa. Any information would be appreciated.

Most of the universities in Chengdu offer mandarin classes with a student visa.

Southwest University for Nationalities's Chinese program is a popular choice.

Sichuan University and SWUFE are also popular choices.

PM me and I'll send you the contact info for the woman in charge of foreign affairs office at Southwest Uni. for Nationalities if your interested.

Learning Mandarin is a full time job, part time won't get you far.

That said private schools won't be able to help you with visa unless you offer to teach English (or other Western languages) in exchange - which leaves the unis corygo already mentioned.
