VERY VERY disappointed in the management of the restaurant. we are actually regular customers and probably have been to the restaurant a dozen of times, though its lows and highs, and we just experienced the lowest of all.
All started with a special merchants bank card offer for complementary ice-cream AFTER we had our meal and dessert. So we expressed we didn't want another desert, some one seems like a manager said will give us complimentary coffees next time we go in since we go a lot. So when we went the next time and of course the one made the offer is not working and no body knows about the offer. So we told them about it and they bought coffees and toward the end we end up with a check charging the coffees as well. not to mention all these hassling we were given in between though the meal, obvious some one was unhappy about something. it made us feel very uncomfortable and when I ask to see a manager, our waitress told me kitchen, bar and a manager have made the decision. WTF??!! who manages a restaurant like this? we felt so helpless and the experience was just terrible. despite being one of the best western restaurants in town, the management fell to do their job. I am very disappointed and i would not recommend this restaurant to anyone any more.

The current Chinese chef is very good and apparently well trained.

It is not too hard to find being located in Southside a few blocks south of the Millenium Hotel and Shanghai Garden homes on a row of Chinese and Korean restaurants a few doors down from the liquor store.

Downside is not much of a place for beer lovers or cocktail lovers, however wine selection is good and very friendly staff. Steven has good English and very attentive.

Check out their weekly drink specials after 9:30pm which is a little late to start if they want to attract more business which they need.

Very clean and a good place for a quiet dinner and drinks with friends or a date.

Worth the effort to find. I'm sure they would be more than happy to text/SMS their directions to your phone in Chinese to show a taxi driver if you can't speak Chinese or GPS their address.
