Worst brunch in years. The French Toast was edible, but the waffles were worse than soggy Eggo's. 165rmb for 3 people eating basic breakfast and coffee, nothing else. More expensive than an American diner with none of the quality or flavor. Do not give these people your money.

This place used to be decent, but as everyone else seems to be saying: screw the increase of prices and decrease in quality. I'm not one to normally take effort to review a place, but this is preposterous. It used to be that you can get a decent hamburger for a decent price, but the way prices are now, the value and even the allure of the place is gone. 59 RMB for a bacon burger, 65 for mediocre burritos. Forget it. I'm taking my business elsewhere.

Fuck this place. It used to be a great place with decent prices (although definitely not Mexican, or Texican, for that matter), but recently the prices increased and the quality of food decreased. I dont normally cuss when reviewing places (actually, that may be a lie) but places that increase price and decrease quality just because their popularity has increased deserve a big thumbs down. They said it to the consumer, so now I say it to them: Peter's Tex Mex: Fuck you.

I stick to the burgers as I don't like Mex food. The burgers are b****y good! Much cheaper than Grandma's which are very similar and you get french fries. Never had any problems with the staff. Recomended.

I go for the Kid Burger who is actually really filling and a lot cheaper then the Tex Mex burger which could feed a family.

All around, I like Tex Mex and I don't go there for the Mexican food, I just want my meat paddies :)

Oh and steak for breakfast, awesome!

As the restaurant has been growing and more people have been eager to try "Mexican" food, Peter's has dropped in quality but raised in price. The "Tex-Mex" food is the farthest that you would get from genuine Mexican cuisine. As someone who has tried numerous dishes from their menu, I have come to the conclusion that almost every single item off the menu is mediocre, to say the least. In the past, the staff used to be pretty good, at least for Chengdu, but lately, the new girls they have been hiring look at you with clueless looks when you ask for some ketchup. Even at a Western restaurant, the "English-speaking staff" barely know anything. Service in general sucks. Once, when I went there with my family, the food kept arriving one at a time, 5 minutes after each other. However, they brought the last person's food after everyone else was finished. And the prices are ridiculous for the quality of food and service! Peter's is getting more expensive. So do not go there unless you want to waste your money. However, their flurries are pretty good.

I've never eaten Tex Mex in the states, but I have eaten Mexican cuisine before and this isn't anything like Mexican food that I've had. Very little spice to the food and very little to be desired in what taste does exist. If you are absolutely desperate for Mexican food, you can break down and eat here, but you will still be disappointed.

go for the 18-kuai soft tacos, it's a much better deal than the burritos. still small and deflated, but at least there's two of them. as to their 'authenticity,' well, there's not all that much to be done about that, except requesting a bottle of tabasco and dumping half of it on, if that helps.

I had read that Peter's Tex-Mex was the place in Chengdu for the homesick American to get a burrito. The interior is an over-stereotyped rendering of the Wild Southwest. Waiters and waitresses wear american-flag (or was it Texan flag?) uniforms. It is true that burritos are at hand, but as to their quality I was disappointed. The kind of burrito that I am used to has liberal heaps of rice, beans, tomatoes, lettuce, guacamole, etc., wrapped in a tortilla which should be large enough to hold all of these ingredients securely (at least for the first few bites). I am sorry to say that the burrito I received was small and deflated, and worse, the tortilla was so paltry the ends couldn't be closed properly. The dish was really closer to an enchilada without sauce than a burrito (according to my conception of what a burrito should be, at least). The taste was also a little bit strange; the beans were not quite "Tex-Mex" flavor. For this the price was something like 35 yuan, which I consider too high for the small amount of food. On the other hand, since I have only tried one thing on the menu and have only tried it once, I don't feel competent to pass definitive judgment on the restaurant. I would be interested to read about others' experiences.
