I've had two burritos now at Ryan's place. The flavour's delicious and the portions are generous. The bean burrito I ordered was huge. And the side of guacamole, despite the price, was a big dollop of deliciousness. I can't vouch for the other dishes yet as i haven't tried them. But I will be trying them very soon. I hope Ryan's Mexican Cuisine is here to stay. Burrito and nachos with a beer and football on TV? sign me up!

Authentic Mexican ???? Nah. Also it's expensive 30rmb for one bean burrito. Sucks!!!!!

TASTY TASTY TASTY! Ryan is back with Mexican food this time, and they're better than the sarnies. Only reason it's not 5 stars is that I still felt like I could eat after eating the tacos and a side last time, but that may have just been because the flavor was awesome and there was an aroma of slow cooked Mexican spice hanging around the bar. Finally some decent and affordable Mexican cuisine. Seriously, what the hell is up with Peter's prices? Nice job Ryan and May, I'll be back again soon.

Went along to Ryan's Mexican cuisine the other day and was really happy with the food. Had the chicken burrito and then went back the next day and tried '3 tacos'. Authentic Mexican flavour, especially the refried beans. Good idea to have chips and salsa as a side option as it just finishes off the meal well.

Pretty sure I'm gonna come back again soon. Thanks Ryan!

I tried ordering several times during the last days, though nobody even bothered to pick up the phone.

My friends told me that they couldn't even get a sandwich in that place.

Seems like Ryan's is dead or a very poorly managed side-business..

I was skeptical at first, but Rya'ns sandwhiches have just improved so much its two different worlds now. Hes up in Herewego Bar now so he has the ability to make hot fresh Sandwhiches. Delivery is good, but if you want the best sandwhich go to the bar itself for your meal. The Barbeque Pork is my favorite. So good, hot and has a good cheesesteak kind of feel with just the right spice.

Its also just awesome that Chengdu's best and newest bar has a sandwhich shop in it. Hungry at 1:00am from rigorous dancing? No Problem. GET FED!

Had my second sandwich from Ryan today. I enjoyed it a lot. Last time I made some comments about the gravy for the roasted beef sandwich and I was pleasantly surprised that this time the sandwich and gravy were greatly improved.
    Will come back for more.

I thought a sandwich has two slices of bread? This place sells banquette's or subs. The decor made me feel ill and the sandwiches sorry (subs) were dire. Soggy Soggy Soggy and expensive.

I am sorry...but this cannot be considered a sandwich, can it? I have been in Chengdu for two weeks and starting to crave Western food although I love all Chinese food. The sandwich I got was awful. The mala chicken was thin, old meat. It was soggy and the bread was sweet. The chips were cheap Chinese chips I got at Wowo before. The carrot sticks were red, dry and poorly cut. The location is strange. I will stick to Sichuan food until I find better options. Not good. I more or less writing the review in the hopes of finding better.

I went to Ryan's last week to grab a sandwich and came down from tonghuimen subway area. I have to say I thought the sandwiches my girlfriend and I ordered were nothing special, nothing to really differentiate them from other sandwiches in this city, mayo veggies, meat and soft sweet bread. Maybe going in I was too excited because of the reviews and it just didn't live up. I will try again when I am in the area but won't go out of my way to get there. I was a little confused by the interior as well, we walked in and were not really sure what to do, the people working just kinda gave us the blank whaddya doin here look. The downstairs, ms bamboo I assume, seemed like a house full of who decided to interior decorate because their mom and dad weren't home. It just seemed like no one was managing. Hope the new upstairs location gives you some differentiation and you can concentrate on the sandwiches and serving people.

It's great to have another sandwich option and the BLT I had wasn't bad but I wouldn't go overboard about it. Some different bread options would be great rather than the pretty tasteless soft stuff that's being used now. BTW it took ages to find the cafe... Ryan, you might want to put out some more specific directions to the place.

I have high hopes for Ryan's Sandwiches, located inside Ms. Bamboo. I have ordered two different sandwiches and they were fantastic. I was also able to order cake from Ms. Bamboo with my sandwich. The delivery is timely and I appreciate getting a complimentary side like a side salad, chips or carrot sticks. I hear that they have regular entree salads so I think that I will try that next. I did have a mistake in my order when I asked them to leave off the tomato once.

Interesting fusion sandwich ideas, tastes pretty good, and a whole sandwich is a good fill up. Great to chill out at Ms Bamboo play video games, have a beer and eat sandwiches. Foil wrap can make the sandwich a little too damp on deliveries tho.

Ok...really wanted this to be good. First of all, Ryan I do wish you luck and will order again in the future when you work out some of the problems. My husband and I ordered a roast beef sub and the chicken ma la. The roast beef was tasty, but very fatty. The price was ok, but one sandwich is not fulling. The ingredients are not much different than Subway. The sandwiches came all mashed up and we did not get chips. We expected more after hearing an expat was running the show, but the taste should be better. Not great, not terrible in a bind. The delivery was the saving grace.

Ordered delivery today for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised.

I ordered two subs: one veggie and one ma la chicken

    pros:

    - The ingredients seemed fresh and the bread was soft, not hard carrefour bread. Good for sinking your teeth in.
    - The ma la flavor of the chicken wasn't overpowering but instead pretty savory and delicious.
    - 80 RMB for two persons' lunch is entirely reasonable
    - Side of lays chips! Nice :D

    cons:

    - Could have been bigger. I know it's bigger than subway but it doesn't take much to out-do those guys. I'm used to Brooklyn Italian subs. Do you bake your own bread? Can you make them bigger?

    - 5 RMB for a can of cola... yeah nah...

Anyway, I'll be ordering again. 4 stars for now. Let's see what changes you make in the future.

Haven't tried your sandwiches yet Ryan, but I will. I love a good sandwich shop.

Gonna give you 5 stars ahead of time just so Compressor's head might implode.

    Hi Ryan,

I'm curious, did you just start this today or yesterday? I was in Ms. Bamboo Sunday evening and didn't see anything resembling a sandwich on the menu. I also love a good sandwich and would like to try what you've got on offer if they're readily available.
