    • Had a late night burger this week, I've got to say I was totally smashed but what I remember of it was that it was very good. Must go back sober and check it out.

    • I've had their burgers before, but yesterday was the first time I tried their breakfast. By far the best you can get in chengdu. I had eggs Benedict that was to die for. My wife took the "Superman eggs" which was very pleasing as well. I don't know why they don't advertise their breakfast more.

    • Probably among the best burgers I've had in China. I've never been a fan of Jellyfish and it took me quite a while before I decided to try The Spot. Well, the last several months I've been visiting at least one or more times every week. Besides the excellent burgers the menu has some other nice offerings and the drinks are of course just great. Prices are decent and service is quite good. Staff and owners are usually very friendly and you always feel welcome going there. Lately they had lot's of "special" nights with different themes, didn't go there myself but have heard nothing but good things about them so far.

    • So its like this. I went there the first time with a friend and we sat at the table and ordered a burger. Absolutely delicious. I asked the waitress if they had tabasco and she went to check. 5 minutes later she said "I'm so sorry we dont have tabasco but here are some free cheeseballs" Super nice.

Second time I went back, got another burger, cause they are awesome, and I guess one of the foreign bosses came over and said "Hey guys, enjoying your meal?" With mouths full, all of us nodded. 10 minutes later he came over with some free ice/slurpee shots and said "on the house"

Third time they gave us some free dessert shot with chocolate and ice cream or something. I would never normally order something like this so it was a nice treat.

I guess what Im trying to say is this place is awesome. They care about customers, the food is wicked good, Joes sandwich is freaking amazing and the service is unrivaled.

Will definitely go back again and again. So happy chengdu finally has some competition with lazy pug, which i also absolutely adore.

keep up the great work guys!!

    • Hey all.

Wanted to notify everyone the spot will be open 24h all thru the holiday. That means that from yesterday morning the doors will not close all the way till this holiday ends (next Sunday night, Oct 7). Late nighters, early birds are always welcome for a cappuccino and eggs Benedict or a beerlao and a deluxe burger. Everyday, anytime.

      Amen

    • Went to The Spot recently for their lunch burger deal — a can of coke, 6 french fries (literally), and a burger for about 30 kuai.

Burger was good, definitely better than the ones of McD's or Grandma's Kitchen.

I was disappointed in the service, however. Like many restaurants around here, there were about 10 people on the clock, and about 1 person actually doing work. Probably waited half an hour for a burger, and it came out incorrect. Definitely say your order in Mandarin or clarify your English with a lot of menu pointing.

    • I am not really a burger fan, but I do appreciate good food. The Spot in my opinion has the best burgers that I have ever had in Chengdu, and even China.

My favorite is the spicy burger, it is a great fusion of a tasty burger with some Sichuan flavor. I think none of the other dishes match the spicy burger though that's just my personal preference.
Another plus is the extensive and moderately priced beer selection, and though I am not really into desserts, my friends are always raving about The Spot's tiramisu and its other desserts.
To sum up: great food, good drinks, fair prices. Would (and often do) come again.

    • We tried the spot for lunch and really liked it. My husband opted for the spicy burger which he devoured! Pretty good beer selection too. Overall, not bad for a quick lunch, tasty burgers.

    • Not a fan of the Jelly Fish at all, and so didn't get around to checking this place out until last night as a result, but really impressed. Good, reasonably priced food and a great beer selection to boot. Hope you manage to keep it up.

Have to agree with ATChengdu about the fries actually. They're OK, but not as good as the very best in town (wonder if we're thinking of the same place or not?). Both the burger and steak only came with a pretty measly seven of them as well (we counted!)

    • Comfortable atmosphere, good food, good location.

Tried their garden salad, chicken wings and hamburger. All was very good. Only issue is that "starters" should come before the main course, but otherwise the waitstaff seemed attentive and trying to provide a good level of service.

So far I would say "The Spot" is a welcome addition to Chengdu's foreign owned/run restaurant scene. Keep it up.

    • The sandwiches are totally awesome and for that price i cant give this place less than 5 stars. It might be a bit slow from time to time, but the atmosphere is good and the staff is friendly and attentive. The cheescake was a bit expensive but well worth the money. Most of the side dishes is good and the salad is among the better ones i tried in China. Keep up the good job!

    • Went to The Spot for the first time tonight. Met up with friends and had a great time. We were 8 people altogether, so our food was taking a bit of time. The owner gave us free drinks and chicken wings because it. Great service, attitude and food. Will def be back.

    • After a periode of 3 years I can say that I know most of the restaurants in the 'du and have to say that I'm pretty sad about the overall quality of the food when you're not spending hundreds like in hotels.

I've eaten at the spot twice and have to say it's pretty good. The burger as well as the schnitzel are good choices and I would recommend it. The fries they serve with it are not really my cup of tea but that's personal cause I know where they make the best :)

The spot is not cheap but it is a welcome newcomer the city !

If they work on more deals like their lunch deal I'm sure they will have a secure Spot at the Bleu Caribbean !
