    I go here at least once a week when I don't feel like Chinese food but don't want to spend much. U can eat various curries for about 20 to 30 rmb including a small side of vegetables and usually with some free soup. In fact they recently introduced some mini set meals at around only 10 rmb!! The green tea and red bean dessert is good too and currently on promotion at a ridiculously cheap price of 3 yuan. The taste of the dishes sometimes changes, at times I feel the food is very tasty, but sometimes they seem a bit heavy handed with the spices and the flavours are not at all well balanced. Decor and ambience could be better, I find the service OK, the manageress is always friendly and smil, sometimes they forget to bring the soup or something, but not the end of the world. All in all, for the price I think this place is pretty good and deserves to be more popular. Worth checking out (on good days!) are the mince and broccoli curry, the THAI curry and the Myanmar curry.

    I really don't know what anybody is complaining about.
    Last night was my first visit to The Sultan. I had actually avoided the place due to some bad reviews, but when I saw how close it was, I decided I would try.
    The whole restaurant was a pleasant surprise. I had very attentive service, I got my meal quickly, I had delicious food, and a great time. The mint iced tea was delicious, the hummus was enjoyable, the kebab was not what I was expecting, but quite good. I also enjoyed the shisha.

    I think most of the people who complain don't really understand how a restaurant works. I love the small portions and lower prices. It lets you mix and match to get a bit of everything. My food took a bit of time, but food does take a bit of time when you've got a small kitchen and a more patrons than space.
    All things considered, I adore the place, and I'm going to be walking there for lunch today.

    I can't believe that I am the first person to review a café in Tongzilin that has been here for years. This place does easily the best Danish pastries I have had in Chengdu. Great Danishes by any standards, in fact, served in a mellow atmosphere, pretty high end decor. Really surprises me that this place doesn't have more business.

    I've had their burgers before, but yesterday was the first time I tried their breakfast. By far the best you can get in chengdu. I had eggs Benedict that was to die for. My wife took the "Superman eggs" which was very pleasing as well. I don't know why they don't advertise their breakfast more.

    Went there once..expensive drinks...old western guys...old chinese women...hookers all over the place...crap band...I was there with a girl so it was alright, but its not the best place ever, then again this is Chengdu

    The bar is quite empty during the weekdays but the music is really good. Excellent place to chill and when it get's crowded the music quality makes the place way more enjoyable than other bars

    I agree with others about the relaxed environment and will state emphatically that service was attentive and friendly each time i visited here (no exceptions). Food was also pretty decent - some of the pastas are tasty as are some of the appetizers.

    i gratuitously give them one star because of the brick oven which did result in a decent pizza crust - however the sauce was off so i didn't eat much. Unfortunately the pasta was horrible so i ended up paying my bill and leaving hungry.

    there is no way that this is owned by an italian...no self-respecting italian i have ever met would serve such dreck. If the food wasn't a dead give-away, then certainly the gaudy over-the-top decor should tip you off. oh yeah, let's by no means leave out the whole fake mandolino story/schtick on the menu, hahaha. I was almost offended by their hubris: do you really believe people are THAT stupid?
