I dunno if this is relevant, but I'm here on my student visa and my wait was three weeks, same as last year. When I complained about it (I get grumpy at that place) the lady behind the desk told me to show her a plane ticket and I could get it back sooner. I didn't have a ticket, so I had to wait all three weeks. But that's how it goes I guess.
Hey guys and gals,
I do a lot of tabletop gaming here in Chengdu, but I'm always running into the same problems with people wanting to play and people flaking out when they start.
Anyone else having these problems and or interested in joining forces to roleplay?
Also, which systems are your favorites? Mine is currently Eclipse Phase.
yeah, there's always a main work, or chopping block, from one author. That work is critique by the group. Then every week there are prompts sent out for everyone else, generally chosen by the previous week's chopping block author. Chopping block is usually longer, I think max of 10,000 words. Prompts are limited to 500 words, but apparently that's a loose limit lol. I'll message you the groups email, and you can introduce yourself via email to the group, and get this coming week's prompts and chopping block.
Take it easy!
Yeah, we're on break until the 12th. So if you come that night or any wednesday after that, there'll be a group. But so many people travel during the spring festival that there usually aren't enough people to conduct a proper meeting.
Hope this is informative.
Well, you can take it to the 'tech tower' over on first ring road and Renmin south road. Do you speak chinese? you made to, in order to get this looked at, but maybe not.
Depending on what happened, I could take a look at it, sim card tray is a fairly simple problem. Message me if you are interested. I work on my own electronics from time to time.
But besides 'tech tower' you could try any of the little electronic shops around town, as long as it is obvious (from a quick glance) that they do repair there. If you have a chinese friend who is willing to help (assuming you don't speak chinese), that could expedite things.
But basically, from my experience, these electronics repair guys will fix almost anything, for a buck, and I've seen full screen replacements and other hardware problems being handled in an afternoon.
The forth floor (maybe the fifth too?) of tech tower has a bunch of these guys. the buidling I'm talking about is named the Chendu digital tower (成都数码).
Hope this helps.
I know that the 蜀明 tomb museum, across from Chengdu University, has what is apparently a wildlife refuge. Its extremely beautiful, and signs that hash runners have been through there, from the chalk mark on an old door. But it has a lake, and a nice amount of open space, as well as a number of signs advising visitors about wild animals (in Chinese), might be a nice place to start.
hey everyone! I'm planning a trip to Xinjiang during national day. I am really grappling with how to get there and back. I'm really only thinking of a 7-10 excursion. Right now I'm mostly concerned with how to arrive in Xinjiang, whether by train or plane, or perhaps a combo? I live in Chengdu, and plan of going to Xinjiang from here.
So basically, any suggestions? I'm sure I can merely arrive in a major city, like Urumqi and then spread out to there, so I"m really looking for any advisements on traveling to a major city? I've got plenty of time until October, and so I welcome any and all suggestions until then : ) and thanks in advance!
