A few months a go I would of said nothing besides 'My home town of Montreal' in Canada also has this law and enforces it and I believe the city is better for it. But ultimately, I don't really mind. If the smoke annoys me, I move.
But now that my wife gave birth ((A few months ago)), I find myself in a huge dilemma since most restaurants allow smoking and I do not want to subject my kid to it but at the same time I feel that asking someone to stop smoking for her sake is intruding... The law would help but there would be a huge adaptation period since SO many people smoke in China.
Yep, you can set it to English and it works online no problem. Of course, make sure you have a good connection though, we are in China afterall.
If you're planning to frag some fools, the connection speed might make you cry 'CHEAT' more then once.
ANT or ANTs I am unsure, anyways. The Yellow and blue trucks that move stuff around the city.
I moved recently and had a really REALLY bad experience with the ANT movers. I thought I would share and save people some trouble and possible grief.
First off, not all ANT movers are assholes, I used them in the past and everything went fine (Probably cuz I had 5 box and one plant). If you have more then that however, be on your guard.
They told me we could deal the price, ok cool. They offered a lower price then the girl had said on the phone so, super. But to do so, no signing official papers. My mistake #1.
They didn't move what I wanted them to move first (The big stuff). Instead, they moved all the little things. Which brings me to my next point... Mistake #2.
Once it was time to move the big stuff (Bed, TV, Couch) They stopped and asked for more money (The same amount, once more). Well, being stubborn, I told them to go FU%^ themselves. YAY me :o) But I was stuck with a half-move, boo me!
In the end, some great friends came and got me the help I needed (VIVA the 3-WHEELERS!) and I was moved.
The lesson: When it's too good to be true, it usually is. SIGN the damn paper first. And you can also validate with the company by phone what exactly you need moved AND once the movers show up to your place, call the company again and have them validate what the movers are saying.
I just learned: This happened also to a good friend of mine recently. She was pregnant and the ANT movers just left her there with the stuff unmoved. Seriously, what a bunch of assholes!
Computer Market or a Game Shop ((West on the Computer Market street next to a pantie shop)).
The PS3's are from Japan with an Asian configuration (( O = Confirm instead of X )) but it works fine with all games. I bought mine here and have been enjoying old and new releases for a while. No worries.
If you need help getting it, let me know :o) I'll use the occasion to buy a new game hehe. By the way, the price is just like in America, don't expect to pay less.
So, where's the best burgers in Chengdu?
On my part, I have to say I'm partial to Swensen's on Chunxi Lu. They have variety and it just hits the right spot. Although the service is a bit slow and ordering a 15 RMB coke is like : WHAT!?
But I still go there once a week for my 'Burger Fix', what about you guys and girls?
CAREFOUR (if you're lucky)
SANDRA's ... Hum, no, what's the name of that place... Used to be one on Kehua Bei Lu almost in front of Tex Mex. Anyways, lots of imported stuff.
The price pretty much all ranges between 65 to 80 RMB though.
