Invisible Funny that you should mention that "a lot of foreigners...seem to have problems with their ears." My son got a head cold, sneezed and perforated his ear drum. After being refused treatment at Hiaxi because we didn't get there early enough to grab a number, we wound up a Peoples No. 1 Hospital. (It is definitely cleaner, less chaotic and more professional than Huaxi.) The Doctor did some diagnostic testing and sent him home with an antibiotic. Then we returned a week later for a follow up that included a quick look-see and some Chinese herbs.
I wonder what causes foreigners to have so many ear complaints? or do locals suffer from the same problems too?

Forums > Study > University Tuition in Chengdu
Hi Journey,
Southwest University of the Nationalities offers a basic Chinese language course for 6000 yuan a semester. The International dorms are nice, if not basic and the best part is that they are only 900 yuan a month. Also, they are located in the same building as the classes, which is nice, if you aren't a morning person.
Sichuan University offers a course for 8200 yuan a semester and last year when I looked into it, they were renovating the International dorms, so if that is still the case, you'll have to find a place to live off campus.
Those are the only universities I looked into. Maybe someone else, has some specific information about SWUFE and Sichuan Normal University (although, I'm not sure if the later has a Chinese language program.)
Congratulations on your choice of choosing Chengdu. I'm sure you'll love it here.

Do we get off at the Jinjiang Hotel stop?
If so, where do we go from there?

Chengdu > Shamrock Bar
三叶草爱尔兰西餐酒吧I'm not a big drinker, so I don't frequent The Shamrock often, with that being said, I have had some feedback from people who have ordered while I was there. The sausage and bangers were a hit with a friend from the UK and my American friend liked their Greek Salad. I only ordered a glass of cranberry juice and that pretty much speaks for itself, I mean the fact that you can get a glass of cranberry juice at all.

Chengdu > KaffeStugan
咖啡斯特特嘉The bathrooms are clean. (I don't know about you, but I judge a place by how clean their bathrooms are, yea, I know you do too.)
The potato salad is just like the kind my mom makes.
The deserts are scrumptious..
Service is good and the staff is friendly.
Great place to hang out with friends or get away for a few hours.
The free glass of tea they serve is delicious too.
