As annoying as it is, it seems to make sense to me.
In about three years the subway system will be a lot more developed, this seems like a way to push people into using it more. It'll take traffic off the road and put a ton of extra cash into the economy.
yea...anyone want to write 'Five places to visit other than chengdu in the wintertime'?
That said...if he had a massive nokia phone and answered it on a bus in classic trigger happy tv style I might change my opinion.
I'm looking forward to the video where he gets his arse kicked.
For me he's just being a typical ignorant 老外, making all of us 外国人, who actually like living here, look bad.
Having the second ring road finally finished is great, the traffic seems a lot smoother. The BRT seems somewhat pointless as it's so painfully slow. The only time I would use it is if I needed to get somewhere but I wasn't in a hurry, but if that was the case I would just leave home a little later and take my normal route.
I've been sitting on this link for a while as I wanted a unique selling point so students would choose me over you ;)
I found this website on google plus, it's made by a guy who's wife is an esl teacher. It makes giving speaking and listening comprehension homework super easy and it's free. You create the class online, send your students the link and they record their answers online. My students parents love it and my students actually want to do their homework.
Highly recommended :)
I'm sure you've read about it in the news recently (http://shanghaiist.com/[...] well it happened to me yesterday.
I was down to my last bit of my burger only to find I'd been eating slimey grey meat. Nice. Fast forward to the evening and I started feeling dizzy, cold and aching all over. Shortly after I'm enjoying V & D.
Here's the address
It's on Yidu Road, right next to Ito-Yokado in the east of chengdu on the second ring road.
Maybe give it a miss.
I ordered brunch and thirty minutes later I got the following:
A perfectly fried egg with what tasted like sugar lightly sprinked on it.
Boiled brocoli, boiled mushrooms, toast that tasted sweet like bread from wowo, a slice of chinese sauage (not the bright pink ones, the kinda that actually looks like real meat), some kinda ham that had been fried to look like bacon and a lightly fried slice of tomato.
No baked beans.
Needless to sad my inner panda was kinda sad and I whispered quietly "I'm sorry Lazy Pug, I'll never cheat on you again".
I'm confused about this place, either it's owned by a westerner and whilst they are away the place has gone down the toilet since the review, or all the photos are fake and it's just another chinese place getting it very very wrong.
Two stars because I'm feeling nice.

The tables, scribbling on the walls, lampshades, the hookahs...actually everything about the whole place except the lack of vibe will tell you you're in Helen's. You're not in Helen's.
"Mmmm, I really fancy a tuna pizza" said nobody ever.
