  Sounds like good fun, I'm seriously thinking of coming up from Kunming for the weekend to run the half. Yee-haw!!!

  ^I got into a netbar off Wenlin Jie in Kunming without showing any ID about a week ago. It's the on the second floor off the little alley about 30 meters from the Dongfeng Xi Lu intersection—across from the noodle shop and the 哈尼族烧烤 place.

  Hi all, I'm planning on going up there and I'd really like to save some cash and do it overland.
  Does anybody know if there are any overland routes there, such as a bus? Any suggestions on the best way to get there overland? Are the roads safe?
  Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

  Not haute cuisine, but very well executed rustic-style French dishes. Service was good, beer list could be better.
