No, I am Chinese doing my master's degree at SWUFE and it's my second year in the fall. And I am also at Liulin campus which is kinda far from downtown. I usually take the school bus to get around. It takes about 40min to get to the old campus which is located at 2nd Ring Road in Chengdu, so basically downtown. I don't think there is a need to get an electric bike in here. If you insist, I suggest that you can buy a used bike when you get here.
