This is very late to reply to Ileff, but I did spy some trails to ride while making my way back to Qing Cheng Shan.
Heading out from Dujiangyan to hike up Qing Cheng Shan, you will climb on paved mountain roads for a ways until you arrive to the trailhead and parking lot of the QingCheng Shan hiking trail.
Off the side of this mountain road I saw singletrack leading back.
Not sure if these are the trails those guys were talking about but they were easily accessible from the road
I have two gloves and a ball, er, if anyone wants to play. No seriously, anyone who wants to have a catch and maybe if we get some more people we can makeshift some home run derby or stickball. Seeing a dragons game would also be interesting with this nice weather
I went to Ryan's last week to grab a sandwich and came down from tonghuimen subway area. I have to say I thought the sandwiches my girlfriend and I ordered were nothing special, nothing to really differentiate them from other sandwiches in this city, mayo veggies, meat and soft sweet bread. Maybe going in I was too excited because of the reviews and it just didn't live up. I will try again when I am in the area but won't go out of my way to get there. I was a little confused by the interior as well, we walked in and were not really sure what to do, the people working just kinda gave us the blank whaddya doin here look. The downstairs, ms bamboo I assume, seemed like a house full of who decided to interior decorate because their mom and dad weren't home. It just seemed like no one was managing. Hope the new upstairs location gives you some differentiation and you can concentrate on the sandwiches and serving people.
