This was imported several years back. Unit is in excellent condition, a 9 out of 10. I used this a lot for a year and this really helped get me back in shape. If your always on the run and do not have the time to join a gym, then you may want to consider buying this. You can read all the specifics below
Comes with the upgraded rods (310 pounds of resistance) and a professional rubber mat (originally cost $99.99) so that it will not damage the floor. Also have the bowflex book, original workout chart and digital versions of the assembly/instruction manuals.
Check out the specs on the amazon site to see if it will fit in your home. This cost almost $2,000.00 when new (with the upgrades) and that doesn't include the shipping costs to China. Looking for 3,000 RMB. This price is FIRM and includes the moving fee. When I purchased it, we used Ant moving company and the price was 300 RMB. If you buy this unit, 3,000 will cover machine plus moving costs. Email me or add my wechat: corygoldblatt

There are several home gyms manufactured by some local companies that are surprisingly decent but they do not compare to this.

Please note that you will not be able to move this by yourself. We will need a moving company and it should cost 250-300 RMB. Email me at:
I was considering starting a Dharma group for all of those who are interested. I know quite a few Chinese Buddhists who are very sincere about their practice and are interested in meeting up for discussions / group meditation. Over the years, I have met many expats who do meditate but do not have any type of support group in Chengdu which led to this post. If you are interested, please PM me and do not reply here. Thanks
Most of the universities in Chengdu offer mandarin classes with a student visa.
Southwest University for Nationalities's Chinese program is a popular choice.
Sichuan University and SWUFE are also popular choices.
PM me and I'll send you the contact info for the woman in charge of foreign affairs office at Southwest Uni. for Nationalities if your interested.
I buy a decent amount of stuff from the US and have it shipped to China.
Ever since I found out that www.iherb.com ships to China for free if you spend $40.00 (or $4.00 if under $40.00) I've been shopping for grocery items from the US.
Last year you only got taxed if you spent more than $5x.00.
So what some people did was to separate their orders so that it was always less than $50.00 and you would just have multiple orders.
Now it is a flat tax.
10% sounds about right.
Even with the tax, many items are still cheaper if you buy them directly from the US.
For example, I buy the following items from the US:
Whole wheat pasta, whole wheat flour (bob's red mill) and other specialty flour, raw honey, peanut butter, organic coffee, chocolate, pasta sauce, jams, herbs/spices, etc.
Many of these items are unavailable on Taobao and significantly more expensive than the US.
If you use iherb.com, use SFEXPRESS as they charge you a set fee before the item ships out and you receive your goods within 2 weeks.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Also if your interested in using iherb.com, if you use my referral code you get $5.00 off your first order:

WoodWERD, do you have an Android phone that you purchased in China?
I don't know about other phones but my Samsung phone has been programmed to reject Google play, even if you try to install the most recent APK. I just assumed that all Android phones in China were like this.
This review is for Nuhi's deli which is the "new" Kaffestugan.
It is by far the best Italian food I've had in Chengdu.
The owner is a real gentleman who went out of his way to make me something that wasn't on the menu.
I had the large pizza which was a real delight.
Also he does the pour over coffee which is still by far the best coffee in the city.
Prices are very reasonable.
Same exact location as Kaffestugan.
The owner's phone number is on the forum for the bread post if you want to inquire about the menu or the hours.
The best coffee spot I've found in Chengdu.
Cafestugen (did I spell that right?) was amazing although they are no longer located in Chengdu.
Prices are fair, quantity/quality is above average and the environment is by far the most interesting setup that I've found.
I don't know about you, but I'm tired of walking into a new coffee spot to look at a menu with coffee priced at 40+ RMB.
That's almost $6.xx in the US.
