Hey all, been in Chengdu for quite a while and I've just decided to start playing MTG after putting it off for ages.
The only problem is where can I find some places to play? I've so far been to 3 LGSs in Chengdu, only to feel disappointed with the atmosphere and the people. I heard there was another board gaming group at McElroy's, is that still going on? Or are there any other gamers out there still playing?
Hey Lee! I'm an Undergrad student at the Uni so hopefully I can help out.
You'll have two classes everyday from 08:30 to 12:00, these are the core 'compulsory' classes. There are various optional classes available during the afternoons from 2pm onwards. These include Ping Pong, Tai Chi among others depending on your chinese level.
Each class is an hour and a half, with a 5 minute break halfway between them. You're either here as 1. A Language Leaner or 2. A Degree programme. If you're a language learner you can feel free to take whatever classes you like and skip any you don't like. For the latter you've got to attend in order to get credits.
Hope that helps :)
Did a search and was surprised that I couldn't find anything posted.
I'm currently working for two different universities part-time and it seems that they have different systems for calculating Tax. Has anyone come across this or better yet, figured out how tax is calculated here?
There are a few websites, each with different sets pf numbers and I was wondering if anyone could point me to the right direction, perhaps the 'official' webpage to the Chengdu Tax Bureau?
Any information would be helpful, I just want to make sure I'm getting paid properly.
