I'm an American currently teaching in Chengdu and looking for some extra classes. I have been in China three years with extensive experience with IELTS and TOEFL. Half price of a training school, no need for contract. First class is free. My Chinese is fluent. If you are interested please respond to me here. Thanks!
Actually, dick, in Sichuan I've met many foreigners with *very* fluent Mandarin, even more standard than most locals that speak 川普. Also, the level that my Mandarin is at now, I have difficulty finding a Chinese teacher that can cater to my level, so I figured if I found some foreigners with good Chinese we can learn from each other.
I want to improve my Chinese and meet foreign friends - I was wondering if anyone knew about a Chinese corner in Chengdu? I figure there has to be one around, I just can't seem to find it. If not, would anyone else be interested in starting one? You can talk to me on here or add my wechat
@Alex KMG - I was saying ChengDu is not polluted *compared* to Bei, Shang, Guang. I was in Beijing recently and it was just miserable, could hardly see 20 feet in front of me.
For the average Chinese city though, yes ChengDu is polluted and big.
Thanks Kathy ZK!
Lived in KunMing for the past two years and *loved* it, but looking for something different. BeiJing, ShangHai, and GuangZhou are out since they're too big and polluted for me.
I've heard great things about ChengDu, but wanted to get some opinions from people who are actually living there.
What are the major advantages/disadvantages of living in ChengDu? How's the nightlife? Where is the area where a good portion of foreigners live?
Does anyone know any schools that are hiring? I prefer to teach older kids and adults and specialize in IELTS with over two years experience.
Any input from you guys would really appreciated, thanks!
