So how do you think this is going to affect the teachers here? If the employers are now paying the taxes for the most part wont that really cut their pay by 15-20% in some cases?
Like for instance if a teacher was making 8000 yuan-700 for tax they have a fixed income of about 7200 after all to take home now this means they will take home 6000 yuan? or am i wrong, I can tell you now i was out tonight with a group of friends about 20 people since you put this up and they all stated if their bosses do not pay the insurance they will quit right off the bat and ride out their Visa's until they expire. This is going to spell disaster in China for teacher in my opinion and from what my friends are saying they already can barely get by now save about 1500 yuan per month after all is said and done so basically that's long gone.
I wold benifit from this since i will be living out my life working here for at least 15 years but for those who have it tough as teachers making low salaries like under 12,000 per month its a big hit for them. I am not a teacher and my boss will pay the fee so i am not worried but this only affect working Visa's or is that wrong?
So people on Business Visa's and Student Visa's are in the clear?
I have a lot of clients here i consult Visa's and other stuff for and they are all shocked by this even i had not heard about it until you thankfully posted this?
My friend working at the universities are capped at around 6000 yuan per month so they will take the biggest hit and the garbage schools paying teacher low salaries most likely will see their teachers quit unless the bosses man up and pay for it. Teachers here are doing a duty and service to the locals by teaching English this is just another hit for the poor guys and gals.
But i may be seeing this wrong, i am sure there are loop whole as well. Any more information is greatly appreciated.
Oh i see, that cool. I am not North American so i guess the Germans are safe for now. I pay into a pension back home. Good to hear.
Not sure if i am a big fan of this, i do not work as a teacher but does this mean that if a teacher in Chengdu in average is getting 6500 yuan that the employer will have pay this, this is going to make it very tough for companies to hire teachers now i think?
Most of my friends teaching have the taxes covered by the school so for schools to keep their teachers they are going to have to pay the insurance for them or i could see a load of teachers already stretched thin quitting their jobs, 1200 yuan i s a lot of money? almost the same as rent.
Luckily my employer is paying my fee's i sure hope this does not affect the status of teachers, because if the schools cut their pay by almost 20% they will quit. The schools will have to cover this. I am sure hope they do a lot of my friends were shocked to hear this and you posted it.
Thanks for the post.
